Statement of Significance
This specimen is the Type Tree and was used by Pryor and Willis to describe the species in August 1954. The tree is of both State and National significance. The distribution of Eucalyptus aromaphloaia is quite extensive in Western Victoria, just crossing into South Australia. Isolated communities occur near Eden and Rylstone in N.S.W.

It is located at the 113 mile post,(now 182 km marker) on the Western Highway west of Buangor. 70 metres east of Gravel Route Road on north side of carriageway
