Statement of Significance
This tree is significant at a Regional level as for its unusual form, with a substantial lateral trunk over 4 metres in circumference.
This tree is on an ephemeral tributary of Hovells Creek and is remnant native vegetation.
History
This tree is on the historic Wooloomanata run, a pastoral station built by the Armytages of Como (South Yarra). The fifth European owners of the property crop the paddock (currently growing Triticale) but have taken care over generations of owners to avoid removal of this unusually-formed tree.
